Care Instructions
Good linens last for decades. Provided you let them. It doesn't take much, and most of it is simpler than you'd think.
Washing
Almost all our fabrics can be washed at up to 60 degrees. That sounds like a lot, and that's exactly the point: when the weave is good, there's no need to recommend a delicate cycle. Our colours take it too, as they are Indanthren dyed and therefore exceptionally light and wash fast.
Don't fill the machine completely. The weave needs room to move.
Use little detergent and no fabric softener. Softener settles over the fibres like a film and takes away exactly what you bought them for.
Spinning and drying
Spin at 1200 revolutions at most. Anything faster gives you nothing but creases.
Leave the tumble dryer off whenever you can. Our fabrics are light enough to dry quickly in the air on their own.
Ironing
Ironing is more than a matter of looks. It lets the fibres find their way back into warp and weft, and the weave settles into its original order again. That is what carries a fabric through decades.
Dampen it first with our Premium Ironing Water, a fine mist is enough. The iron then almost glides by itself, and ironing turns into a lovely stroll.
